Q1. What is IML?

in-mold labeling (IML), that is the IML film is placed in the mold, and the plastic and IML film are combined at the same time as the injection molding, a spray-free decoration method.

Q2. What equipment do I need to use in-mold labeling film (IML)?

Injection machine (horizontal/vertical), electrostatic processor (automatic film feeder is required if automation is required)

Q3. What material is suitable for the use of in-mold labeling film (IML)?

In general, most of the molding plastics used for IML are PP plastics; there are also PC, PS, ABS plastic applications.

Sentien's IML film is mainly used in PP plastic household products (plastic tray/cup/container...).

Q4. What design patterns can IML use?

Sentien is a gravure printing factory. Generally, the gravure resolution is more than 300dpi. 

CMYK four-color printing can be used. 

Pearlescent and metallic inks can also be used to improve the appearance.

Q5. Is the IML film shipped in roll or single sheet?

IML film is shipped in sheet which can be cut into the appearance of the product required by the customer. 

Q6. What is the thickness of the in-mold labeling film (IML)?

single-layer IML film is 40um or 70um; double-layer (laminated) IML is 95 um.
